• Aims and scope ► |
SCIVA is addressed to specialized readers and to a wider audience, aiming to publish the results of new and original research from Romania or abroad, to debate opinions, themes and innovative approaches, covering a wide chronological spectrum, from prehistory to medieval history, coming from history, archaeology, art history, and from specialized areas, such as epigraphy, numismatics and sigillography. We welcome contributions to archaeological theory and methodology, as well as research carried out using methodologies coming from natural and STEM sciences. By publishing, alongside studies and notes/discussions, annual chronicles for various research areas, summaries of recent PhD theses, research on the history of archaeology, as well as critical reviews and evocations of personalities who significantly influenced the development of knowledge of the ancient and medieval world on the territory of Romania, SCIVA is one of the main communicators of achievements and events in the fields it represents.
